Dreams Come True at The Event at Rebecca Farm

Rebecca Farms is officially in the books, and what an amazing week it was.

Unmarked Bills contested his 4th CCI3*, finishing in 7th. Sandro’s Star (Sagnol – Nostalgia’s Star xx – Envoy xx) finished 3rd in the USEA Adequan Gold Cup CIC3*.

I’m not sure there are enough words to say how proud I am of both of these horses. For Sandro’s Star to finish an impressive 3rd place amongst some elite horse and rider combinations is an accomplishment in itself. Having just begun his eventing career in the USA eighteen months ago shows just what an exciting horse Sandro is for the future.

Unmarked Bills had his 11th start at the Advanced, CIC, and CCI3* Level. Of those 11 starts only once has Billy ever had a 20 on his record. Only once in his entire career.  Over the past three years, Billy has contested some of the toughest tracks in North America. He has given me invaluable experience, and has been one of the greatest teachers in my life.

This past weekend would have not been possible without the countless people who have given so much to make the Event at Rebecca Farm possible.

We would like to thank our incredible sponsors, Nutrena Horse Feed, Tri-County Feeds, Fashions, Finds, Eponia Equestrian Sport USA, Custom Saddlery, Soteria Equestrian Safety, Stone Pony Browbands, and Walsh Products. Whether it is from protecting us as riders, to helping our horses to look and perform their best. Your support of our program is greatly appreciated and we would not be able to do this without each and everyone of you.

We would like to thank everyone that supported The Road To Rebecca. We can’t thank those who donated or bid on items enough for their support and help in making this trip possible.

We would like to thank the Broussard family for hosting one of the most beautiful events at your stunning facility. The attention to detail, the hospitality, and the venue were nothing short of spectacular. It is with the utmost gratitude that I thank you for the opportunity to compete at Rebecca Farms through the Developing Rider Travel Grant.

To my parents, thank you for the unbelievable amount of support you have given me over the years. For always allowing me to chase my dreams and for being such a huge part of who I am today.

Lastly; to Hannah, Antonio, and Ricardo. There are no words to truly express how thankful I am for everything you all have done, the opportunities you have made possible and the support you continually give every single day in an uncountable amount of ways. I would also like to thank Emma, for her countless hours of dedication to the program, helping to organize this trip and for her untouchable work ethic.

The horses have arrived back in Virginia safe and sound, and are enjoying their well earned vacation!
